Corfe Hills School continue to go from strength to strength as they celebrate three consecutive years of improved results. The Department for Education have now published the complete performance tables for the last academic year and this places Corfe Hills School in the top 17% of schools in the country for progress at GCSE. The school is proud of their fantastic results across the curriculum and especially their mathematics progress score which is the best in all of Poole and Dorset and places the school in the top 4% nationally.

GCSE Exam Results 2019
Corfe Hills students are celebrating their best ever GCSE results with a record number of grades 9, 8 and 7. The provisional Progress 8 score is +0.3 which represents the third consecutive substantial annual increase and would put the school’s results significantly above last year’s national average of -0.02.
In another year which has seen improved performance across the board, a particular highlight is 24% of students gaining grade 7 or above in Maths. Special mention for excellent results should also go to both Combined and Triple Science, English Literature, French, Drama, RE, Computer Science and Engineering.
Those with the highest grades include Charlotte (8 x grade 9, 1 grade 8), Josh, Ellis, Nuala, Hayden and Gilly – all of whom achieved at least 4 grade 9s.
Headteacher Phil Keen said: “This summer’s results reflect the high expectations and hard work of both students and staff. We saw an 8% rise in the number of strong passes (grade 5 and above). I am delighted with the range of opportunities that this presents for so many of our young people. We wish all our students success for the next step – and are pleased that for many of them this will be Corfe Hills Sixth Form.”
A-level Results 2019
Corfe Hills Students are celebrating an excellent set of A-level results with 48% of students achieving A* to B grades and 80% achieving A* to C grades.
Headteacher Phil Keen says: “I am incredibly proud of all the students who have worked so hard to achieve these results and made the very best of the wealth of opportunities available at Corfe Hills Sixth Form.”
Based on their results, the vast majority of Corfe Hills students have secured their first choice university places.
Those with the highest grades include Zoe (Psychology at Swansea University), Matthew (Chemistry at Reading University), Lucie (Marketing Management at Oxford Brookes), Abbie (Law at Bristol University), Ellen (further study in Germany), Ella (Media Communications & Cultural Studies at Newcastle University) and Annabelle (Law at Leicester University).
Special mention also goes to Kelly who achieved an A* in maths A-level at the end of her first year in the Sixth Form.
