Year 10 Work Experience 2023

Year 10 Students are responsible for finding their own work experience either via their own sources or the CSW searchable web database. They are also responsible for contacting the company and asking if they are able to offer them work experience. This can be done by phone or email initially, but we would recommend that students visit their placement before the work experience commences.
This year we are still supportive for parents to take their child to work with them if they struggle to find a placement and you feel it is appropriate. However, the relevant forms will still need to be completed.
Please take your time to read through the following guides and forms. The CSW Webview Database can be accessed using the login sent to you. This is the database which holds details of local companies who may be prepared to offer work experience. Have a look at the companies and previous opportunities on offer there. You can print job descriptions and details of positions you are interested in. You are allowed to contact a company not on the database. Below is a user guide for this database.

Work Experience Agreement Form 2023
Once a company has agreed to offer you a Work Experience placement, please get them to complete and sign the Work Experience Agreement Form. This form MUST be returned to the School Administrators in the LRC (Learning Resource Centre) to finalise your work experience.
Please return the Work Experience Agreement Form by Monday 30 January 2023 for placements in the South West.
Any Agreement forms returned after Monday 6 February 2023 will incur a £20 late fee by CSW re-chargeable to the parent.
Should you wish to pursue an “Out of area placement” an additional charge of £50 will be payable for vetting and the Work Experience Agreement Form will need to be returned by Monday 16 January for placement checks to be undertaken.
